From a race to the bottom on price to loyalty that rewards - Trainline on Talon. One
Trainline called its old discounting setup "a very unloved part of our business". A week before its first campaign went live, Sayso filmed the platform's loyalty and discounts lead in London on why the team moved to Talon. One - and what changes when campaign managers run incentives themselves.
Trainline's loyalty and discounts lead, filmed a week before the first campaign went live, on moving incentives from a race to the bottom on price to loyalty that rewards.
Talon One as a platform helps us to draw all those different layers together and make sure that we're offering timely incentives that feel more rewarding, rather than just a race to the bottom on price.
Single-interviewee sit-down in London - one videographer on the ground, director live over Zoom, an interior with practical lamps in frame. The shoot paused mid-question for building work overhead, then rolled again. The director stopped one otherwise good take purely to make it usable in the edit: asking the interviewee to name Talon. One rather than say "you", since the viewer will not know who "you" is.
What this film answers
Because it was slow, opaque and owned by a handful of people. Trainline moved to Talon. One so campaign managers can build and run incentives themselves.
Trainline went from decision to first live campaign with the setup running a week after filming - guided by Talon. One's solutions engineering team.
By drawing pricing, timing and customer layers together, Trainline offers incentives that feel rewarding - rather than racing to the bottom on price.
