1. ESSENTIAL GEAR
- Laptop β Required for remote supervision (filming is guided live via Zoom)
- Cameras β Must support laptop connection and record at defined settings
- Stabilization β Tripod (interview), gimbal (B-roll)
- Lighting β Three-point setup (Key Light, Fill Light, Back Light) with diffusers
- Audio β Lavalier mic connected to camera (AI will handle most sound cleanup)
- WhatsApp App β Required for instant communication and setup tour
2. CAMERA & RECORDING SETTINGS
- United States β 30FPS (interviews), 60FPS (B-roll)
- Rest of the world β 25FPS (interviews), 50FPS (B-roll)
- Resolution β 4K / 10-bit 4:2:2
- Preferred Log Profiles β S-Log or C-Log (based on camera)
- Lenses β Full-frame 24mm - 35mm (28mm preferred); Crop sensor users adjust accordingly.
3. INTERVIEW SETUP
- Frame with depth β Choose open, naturally lit spaces (not offices/boardrooms)
- Background β Should represent the companyβs identity
- Framingβ Medium shot, subject in left/right third, camera at chin height
- Lighting β Soft and even with natural contrast
- Shine controlβ Use soft cloth if needed (ask first)
- Angle & lines β Shoot into the open side of the frame, ideally toward a corner
- Eye contact β Interviewee looks slightly off-camera, toward you
- Audio β Lavalier plugged into camera
- Recording β Preferably stop after each answer. If not, break every 10 min
- Autofocus β Set the autofocus to a slower speed mode and ensure it is locked on the intervieweeβs eyes throughout the interview.

4. B-ROLL GUIDELINES
- Purpose β Contrast the static interview with movement and emotion
- What to film β Faces, hands, meaningful context, people doing things
- Avoid β Back-facing shots, over-the-shoulder walking shots, generic filler
- Time β Youβll usually have ~1 hour β Get at least 15 usable clips
- Flexibility β Use our brief as inspiration and adapt as needed
